     BACKGROUND SUMMARY:

OneLiberia provides working skills and vocational education to various segments of Liberia’s working population: e.g. self-employed individuals, crafts, traders, formal and     informal businesses, and small-holder farmers, together with the under-employed and unemployed.

OneLiberia's skills and resources are steadily modified and updated, directly serving Liberia's cities and towns, Liberia’s Atlantic coastline, Liberia’s rural interior, and areas bordering Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Côte d'Ivoire (CdI).

Most Liberian workers leave school after only a few years of education and effectively become self-employed. While at school, classes are often poorly managed; many of     the teachers are relatively under-educated and unprepared to teach basic vocational skills. According to UNICEF, "36% of Liberia's primary teachers and 29% of secondary instructors are unqualified". Many students leave school with poor reading and math, and lack working skills. Most will never return to school; online skills' education and training can help.

Those who improve their working skills and learn new skills almost always do better, and directly or indirectly benefit: Liberia's economy & opportunities; in-country and global distributors, wholesalers, retailers & traders; communications and transportation sectors, and Liberia's workers and their families.

Successfully managed and operated AMCL until early 1994, when Liberia's civil war forced its closure. Chaired AMCL and a Director of Euronimba, a partnership including the Governments of the Republics of Guinea and Liberia, BHPBilliton, France's La Source/BRGM, Kuwait, and Sumitomo Corporation, Japan.
